How long does it take for a deep fryer to reach 350 degrees?

Many deep fryers on the market can take as long as half an hour to reach frying temperature. While times vary by pot size, HPC deep fryers reach temperature around 3x faster. Our popular 18QT all-purpose fryer gets to 350 degrees in 4-5 minutes, and holds temperature extremely well with little to no additional propane.  Our 30 QT Fryer will get to 350 degrees in 10 minutes and after dropping in a turkey will return to temperature in 2-3 minutes, then will maintain the temperature with ½ psi regulator pressure for as long as the turkey needs to fry.

Can you use a deep fryer outdoors?

Yes, our high-powered burners provide more than enough heat to reach and maintain frying temperature with no electricity required. Make sure you use your deep fryer on a flat, stable surface away from anything flammable. Avoid frying outdoors in windy conditions.

What kind of oil should I use for an outdoor fryer?
