Our Crawcuzzi is a high-performance, automatic crawfish-cleaning system. The perfect add-on for one of our commercial seafood boilers, this cleaner streamlines your workflow and ensures that your patrons receive the highest quality seafood. Depend on HPC for commercial cooking equipment that gets the job done right and holds up to daily use.

This industrial crawfish purger will clean a load of crawfish in minutes by pumping high-pressure air through the water to filter out mud and dirt.

Each model includes a manual water fill valve and an on/off electric switch to power the blower.

Units come with a drop-in basket with a latching trap door. (Our 40- and 60-gallon units come with flip baskets.)

Our crawfish purge tank sizes are a perfect fit for an HPC commercial boiler of the same size.

They’re slightly taller, so you can simply pour directly from the cleaner to the cooker!

Purging a crawfish is a process that removes impurities and the black vein from crawfish. There are many techniques, such as prolonged soaking or a saltwater bath.

That said, crawfish and seafood boils are such serious business here that researchers at Louisiana State University chimed in and said both are ineffective, unnecessary, and possibly even counterproductive.

That’s why we recommend this crawfish purger to speed up the process: it’s backed by science!

Do crawfish have to be purged?

Although purging for 24+ hours is a common technique, it’s not required. Some individuals and businesses purge crawfish to improve taste, texture, and appearance. As long as the crawfish are thoroughly cleaned before cooking, a true, full purge isn’t mandatory.

How do professional crawfish cleaners work?

Professional crawfish cleaners pump high-pressure air through the water in the crawfish purge tank to tumble and stir the crawfish, which removes dirt, debris, and impurities. A continuous flow of water filters mud and dirt and flows out the drain port to keep the water in the tank clean.

The most important factors are having a proper seasoning-to-water ratio and temperature control. It’s important to use a propane seafood boiler that can reach optimal temperatures quickly and stay there. Count on ourseafood boil equipmentto produce amazing results!

Aluminum is an excellent conductor of heat. It distributes heat evenly, which helps to prevent uneven cooking. It reaches optimal boiling and frying temperatures quickly and stays there. Unlike the flimsy aluminum pots on the market, ours are twice as thick.

The general rule is to cook the turkey for 3-4 minutes per pound. After reaching the temperature in approximately 10 minutes and inserting your turkey, lower the PSI on your regulator to less than 1 PSI. The unit will hold the temperature perfectly for the entire time needed for cooking. Contact us if you have any questions.
