Can I deep fry fish in a pot?
Yes, but not all pots are equal! For deep frying, it must be thick and heavy-bottomed for proper heat distribution and retention. Otherwise, your fish may end up being cooked unevenly. With three times the surface area, High Performance Cookers’ fish fryers heat 3x faster and hold the heat for perfectly fried fish every time.
Can I fry fish in a stainless steel pot?
Technically, you can, but the results may not be ideal. Fish is very delicate and easy to overcook and undercook. Aluminum’s superior heat conductivity and even heat distribution help to prevent hot spots that can lead to unevenly cooked fish.
Can I deep fry on my stovetop?
If your stovetop is capable of reaching 350-375°F, you can deep fry with a fish cooker pot. However, the results may not be ideal because the oil may not return to temperature fast enough to prevent uneven cooking, especially if you’re frying in large quantities. Our powered fish fryer ensures that the oil temperature stays consistently within the optimal frying range.
