How this is calculated: HPC propane-per-boil figures come from published performance data for the 40, 60, 100, and 140 gallon units. The 80 and 120 gallon figures are estimated by interpolating between the nearest confirmed sizes and are labeled as such in your results. Natural gas figures are converted from the propane data using standard BTU-equivalence (1 gal propane ≈ 0.915 therms) — HPC doesn't publish separate therm-based fuel data, so treat these as close estimates, not exact published numbers. Your own current cost is exactly what you enter — we don't assume a number for your existing setup.
